How Much Longer (On Balloons)

These works were created, in part, as a response and reaction to witnessing the dissemination of falsehoods in my own social media circles, specifically on Facebook. For a long time, and for my own purposes, Facebook had existed only as a space of mourning and memorialization. In many ways, it was the trap of nostalgia that kept me from noticing or perhaps acknowledging the re-programming of this space into venues where people I once knew and respected could also be hypnotized not from pathological grief and longing, but from pathological fear.
